My Dad was 31 when he finally married.  And it took the threat of WWII to make it happen.  He met my mom while working at Fleischer Studios in Miami, Florida.  He was animating Gulliver’s Travels.  She had just graduated high school in Elloree, South Carolina, and had gone to visit her sister.  Her sister’s landlady’s son was my Dad’s assistant, Jake Ozark.  (Jacob Ozarkavitch)  They married a year later on the day Hitler invaded Poland.
